Welcome to Minibus Britain!
To my friends, clients and future clients,
I am going to take a couple of years and do some
exploring on my own. There are a few tours that
I want to conduct (Roman Britain etc.) that
require me to do some exploring and
discovering. Before I present it to you, there
are things I need to learn. Also, due to the
economy, I've had to go back to work part-time.
Please
feel free to contact me at any time if you have
questions at (916) 400-3075.
I'll be back but in the meantime
I thank you all for all the fun we've had.
We'll do it again.
A different approach to guided tours
Have you ever considered the advantages of taking a guided tour of your favorite destinations in the United Kingdom? Are you a regular customer of one of the large conglomerate tour companies, but are tired of tourist traps and frustrated that "sightseeing" means flying down the motorway in a huge bus with the driver pointing and talking about something in the distance? Then we invite you to come with us to truly relax, discover and explore all of the wonderful places to be seen in Britain!
To accomplish our goals, all of our tours are limited to
10 people.
On to Roads Less Traveled
We tour the roads less traveled by the other guys without leaving out the basics. We want you to see the familiar sites you've always heard about. To that end we normally schedule two historic sites per day. Here's the thing...we just don't like the notion of being tied down to a strict itinerary! For those of you who have never been to Britain and want to see those familiar places that you've heard about and seen photos of, like London, Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, we do offer an Introduction to England Tour once a year, but we still throw in a few “off the beaten track” places to go along with that. We can’t avoid the "tourist syndrome" in the famous areas, but if you’ve never seen them, you need to in order to get fully acquainted with England. There’s much more to see and you’ll want to come back to do so.
Flexibility means options !
We're not necessarily restricted to a pre-planned itinerary. We can stop when and where you like for just about anything, including, tea, photo opportunities or just to walk around and look! We're offering you the opportunity to see what you came to see and much more. We're also going to show you how to experience the land. You'll find if you tour with us that along with the famous places and sites you've heard of, we're going to show you places you haven't seen nor heard of, but are no less significant to the history of Britain.
We'll take you to sites that aren't normally accessible to large tour coa ches. That means we're going to explore the back roads. From Castles, Cathedrals, Roman Ruins, beautiful country gardens, ancient sites and quaint villages with thatched roof cottages, to the beauty of the highlands of Scotland, it’s all there just waiting for your arrival!
And for your evening lodging...Accommodations are chosen for their history and character. Guesthouses and pubs are our favorites and we choose nothing with less than a 3 star rating by the British Tourist Authority. We look for places that will best offer you a non-tourist feel of the country. A few nights at a 15th century coaching inn will accomplish that goal!
Slow, relaxed, dynamic touring makes us different,
so please take a look at the rest of our website for even more about what MiniBus Britain does. Be sure to check out the Tours link to find out more about the vacations and holidays we’re offering.
Hope to see you soon! Top
